Teen Empowerment Group
"Talk2me Teens" will explore dilemmas, situations, and other challenges that arise during the adolescent years (13-19yrs old). Topics to explore will be: self-esteem, confidence building, depression, behavioral changes, grief, parental relationship distress, conflict resolution, expression of identity and individuality. The group of 10 meets virtually and/or in person for 1 hour every Sunday evening for 6 weeks. The cost to participate in this 6-week program is $50 per participant. The group is designed for each participant to have a voice and be heard in a safe, mindful and non-judgmental environment. Teens can expect to learn coping skills, utilizing their strengths, receive support and resources towards self-discovery.
Positive Parenting Group
"Talk2me Parents" provides parenting education with a focus on promoting effective parenting practices and enhance participants knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding parenting. Positive parenting practices impact the way our children develop socially, emotionally and intellectually. Participants will learn simple and practical strategies to enhance parenting practices and behaviors utilizing a strength-based approach.
The small group meets virtually every other Monday at 6:30p EST for 75 minutes with a 2-month commitment. The cost to participate in this parenting group is $60 per participant. You will have the chance to collaborate with other parents, receive support and resources that are relevant to meet your parenting needs.
